Greetings from Chinmaya Mission San Antonio (CMSA)!

  • Chinmaya Mission San Antonio (CMSA), known also as Chinmaya Sharadalaya, has been serving the cause of Sanatana Dharma and Hindu Spirituality in the Greater San Antonio community since 2017. Our flagship program Balavihar is designed to educate our children about Sanatana Dharma gradually as they progress from pre-K through high school. 
  • The Balavihar curriculum is followed by Chinmaya Missions around the United States and its main focus is to help our children build a strong core of values and empower them to lead a life of mental and physical well-being. A dedicated team of volunteer teachers work diligently every week to teach our children and prepare them to lead a dharmic life.
  • In addition to the regular Balavihar curriculum, CMSA also offers other classes such as Geeta Chanting, Sanskrit Reading, stotram learning, music lessons etc. to children and adults in our community. A Bhagavad Geeta Study group meets regularly every Sunday after Balavihar to discuss and learn from the Geeta chapter-by-chapter.
  • CMSA is also home to Sharadamba and Satyanarayana Swami temple. This temple is the oldest temple in the South Texas region and has continuously served the devotees in the community for more than 40 years. Regular poojas and homams are performed in the temple and devotees can avail of temple services during weekends.
